Here's a few pics to give you a taste !

Heavy weather to the east, and sunshine behind, in the west. The "power of nature", as it were ...

It brought to mind the verse below, about where this "power of nature" really comes from :

"He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to man, he who turns dawn to darkness, and treads the high places of the earth - the Lord God Almighty is his name."   Amos 4:13

This is one of my first billy goats... one of 2 brothers that were part Boer... magnificent creatures.

Puppy & Lil' Sister... the original Great Pyrenees that helped establish Big Elk Mountain Farms. This picture was taken on Christmas day, in the midst of a month-long ice storm / freeze up period. Later that morning, I wrecked the truck and had to leave it in the woods. Then, within minutes of starting to "walk out", I'd suffered a concussion, and almost separated my shoulder, from falling on the ice...  A bad day...  : )  Now there are Puppy, Hitch, and HoneyBaby at the farm. Lil' Sister is gone now... she was very special. To see some great pics that tell more of her story, go to the whole BEMF site, below.
