I, Steve Balliet, am the owner / operator of MN&L, and have been in the nursery / landscape trade for 20 years. Maranatha Nursery & Landscape is a licensed nursery stock dealer, and landscape contractor in the state of Arkansas, as well as a member of Brugmansia Growers International. I have operated a small nursery & landscaping company in Jasper, Arkansas since moving here in 1997. Prior to that I operated Maranatha Landscape & Horticultural Services in Baton Rouge, Louisiana ( my hometown ) for 10 years. My introduction to the plant world & the nursery trade began in my college years in Tyler, Texas. I will never forget the thrill of my first garden with a friend in Tyler, and the kind lady running a small country grocery that first showed me the wonder of a dried seed pod from a marigold ! Ever since that day, the thrill of creating / propagating plants has never diminished. : ) I truly see the glory of God in plants, and the honor of being able to "create" plants is a thrill, as well as a humbling thing to me. As a Christian businessman, I consider honesty, sincerity, trust, and dependability to be of the utmost importance. I really do strive to treat customers as I would like to be treated. I am particularly good at "giving information", and consider this to be a very important ingredient in the nursery / landscape businesses. I have extensive landscape contracting & horticultural services experience (in Baton Rouge for 10 years) , and am just as concerned about "using plants right" ( ! ) as well as selling them.
