Here's a little dose of "Daily Wisdom"

For best results, listen with your heart, not your head...

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Galatians 5 : 22, 23

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and rely not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3 : 5, 6

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because everyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists, and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

Hebrews 11 : 6

A scoundrel and villain, who goes about with a corrupt mouth, who winks with his eye, signals with his feet and motions with his fingers, who plots evil with deceit in his heart - he always stirs up dissension. Therefore disaster will overtake him in an instant; he will be suddenly destroyed - without remedy.

Proverbs 6 : 12 - 15

There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him :

  • Haughty eyes

  • A lying tongue

  • Hands that shed innocent blood

  • A heart that devises schemes

  • Feet that are quick to rush into evil

  • A false witness who pours out lies

  • And a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.

Proverbs 6 : 16 - 19

Another thought, from a distinguished gentleman in our nation's history :

" I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live by the light that I have. I must stand with anybody that stands right, stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong."   - Abraham Lincoln
